INTERLUDE 2 - BETWEEN 1/18/03 & 2/15/03
(from Mark) Players, the Experience Points for the Star
Wars and D&D games are now posted on the website. It was a fun game for me...and I think you did very well.
I need to know how many Force Points you began with (Steve, Chris, and Mike C. began with something other than
5, but I don't have how many written down anywhere), and how many Force Points you used in the game. I'll be keeping
track of this on the XP page of the website....
Between now and our next game (Feb. 8th) please read up on your Star Wars rules. It seems to me that reading through
the combat chapter would be one of the most important things you could do. Reading the skill and feat descriptions
for the skills and feats your character has would also be helpful, I imagine. Thanks again, Mark
(from Steve) Mark, I was curious, last time we played I hadn't yet worked up my equipment sheet yet. This is now completed except for the gauntlet. I transferred what I had on my old character sheet to the new sheet and now have the equipment sheet done. I was wondering if you want to say it was on the ship or can am I carrying it. Please give me your thoughts on this it is entirely up to you, I have no real opinion on it. Steve
(from Mark) Steve, that is perfectly fine with me. Supply your character with the equipment your character would have had...if you had time to place it on there prior to the next game.
WILD RIDE (by Scott)
Kenai didn't know if they could hold this position by the door any longer. He had used his last grenade to stop the closest threat to the south of the Speeder but he could hear a multitude of angry howls coming from the gate area and the sound of too many booted feet were echoing closer down the long hall beyond the doorway. He had hoped the so-called-magic-caster might aid in the battle but he had disappeared by some unknown means. Bot was beginning to panic, showing he had not had much combat experience.
It was time to move their position and hope the Jedi's would find some other avenue of escape
that they might be able to reach. Then the wall in front of the speeder came blasting out as if a large explosive
had been set off but without the heavy report. This had to have been the work of Morgan. Kenai screamed to Bot
to ready the Speeder as he lept in and secured his safety line to the bar behind Bot's seat knowing it was going
to be a bumpy ride. He found to his surprise their magician companion cowering beneath the seats. Kenai leveled
his blaster on the closest wild-eyed figure leading the howling band of warriors from the gate area.
As the last of the party leaped aboard, Kenai told Bot to gun it and the speeder swung toward the hill of rubble that had been the gate. The speeder dove-tailed back and forth as Bot seamed to panic at the situation. Bodies scattered and dove from the weaving speeder as it sped up the hill of debris. Kenai just had time to holster his blaster and grab on with both hands as the speeder glanced off the remaining wall structure on one side of exit. This sent the speeder careening down the other side right at a huge chunk of wall that had fallen but not broken up. Kenai yelled for Bot to turn but the Rodian was frozen as if asleep at the wheel. Kenai just had time to lean forward and wrap his arms around Bot locking the grip of his cybernetic hand almost painfully to his other arm. He secured Bot in place just before the speeder lurched forward into a cart-wheeling motion upon hitting the obstruction.
As the speeder dizzily flipped end over end Kenai closed his left eye and focused forward with his cybernetic eye giving a more stable view and lessening the vertigo. Kenai screamed into Bots ear to hit the braking thrusters and the forward thrusters simultaneously when he gave the word. When Kanai had been learning to fly and repair speeders back on Milos he had heard a pilot brag about pulling out of a cartwheel spin this way...though Kenai had not believed it at the time. Now he just hoped it was true!
(and we'll all see at the game if it was...and if Kenai and Bot can replicate that success!)
